STUDIO MOULDING

Studio Moulding, Inc. is a designer and distributor of quality moulding for the picture frame industry. Most of our products are sourced from a factory that practices sustainable harvesting of forests. The factory is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and COC (Chain of Custody) certified (certificate on file).

Studio is an employee-owned, ECO-FRIENDLY company that strives to help preserve our sensitive environment. Because our employees have a personal stake in the company, we are committed to delivering outstanding service and building lasting partnerships with our customers.

Our moulding collections include a wide array of styles from classic to contemporary, and we feel confident that you will be pleased with the exceptional quality of our design and craftsmanship. With decades of experience and a proven track record, Studio Moulding has earned a reputation as a reliable source you can trust for both innovation and consistency.

Our distribution centers, featuring the complete line of moulding, are open for your convenience Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The order desk/customer service is available Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time. On the last Friday of each month, our business hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm PST.

CUSTOMER QUALIFICATIONS

Studio Moulding is a wholesale distributor to “the trade” only, and it reserves the right to determine the qualifications of a customer to purchase its products. A customer must be in the art and framing business or allied industry and must provide evidence of legitimacy through an appropriate business license and a resale number.

TERMS AND CREDIT

  • Credit can be established by completing our credit application, listing three trade references, and your bank. Allow two weeks for processing. Open account terms are 2%-10 days, Net 30 based on the invoice date.
  • Orders will not be shipped to accounts with past due balances. Checks returned to Studio Moulding for N.S.F. will be charged an additional $37.00 processing fee. These charges are bank-initiated and may change at any time.
  • The freight company’s C.O.D. charges will be added to all C.O.D. shipments.
  • For special orders, Studio Moulding requires a signed Purchase Order and a 50% non-refundable deposit when the order is placed.
  • Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express cards are accepted with a 2% processing fee, excluding the States of NY, MA, CT, NH and PR.

ORDERING INFORMATION

PHONE ORDERS - 1-800-262-4174

  • Order desk is open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday. On the last Friday of each month Studio Moulding is open 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • When ordering, please provide your customer number, name of the business, and shipping address.
  • Length, Chop, and Straight Cut orders received before 11:00 am, based on your local time, will be shipped within two days; high volume orders are exceptions.
  • Orders received after 11:00 am will be processed the following day.
  • Join orders require a minimum of 3 working days for shipment.
  • Add-ons on any order will be accepted until 12:00 pm, based on the customer’s local time. After 12:00 pm, add-ons will be processed as new orders and shipped within two days.
  • When placing length orders, please state the minimum acceptable moulding length required. We will ship the closest available length(s) of moulding without shipping less than your order.

ONLINE ORDERS - www.studiomoulding.com

  • Orders can now be placed via the Studio website at www.studiomoulding.com. Click on Place an Order and follow the instructions. You will need to have a current account number and a password. Customers will receive an immediate confirmation of their order by email. Call Customer Service if you need assistance with your password.

HANDLING CHARGES

  • A handling charge of $4.50 will be added to all orders with invoice values of less than $75 (after discount).

LENGTH

  • The minimum order must be a full stick, which may vary in length (7 to 10 ft.).
  • For FedEx and UPS shipments, the packing box must be less than 4 ft.to avoid an extra handling charge of $18.00.

DISCOUNTS

  • 54 feet or more of a single item will receive a 25% discount.
  • Orders of 200 ft or more will receive a 30% discount coupon code.

  • Freight orders with an invoice amount greater than $125.00 will receive a 5% freight allowance, with a minimum charge of $10.00 per package.

BOX PROGRAM

  • All box pricing in the price list are for Full Boxes.

DISCOUNTS

  • 5 or more boxes will receive an additional 5% discount
  • Box discounts also apply to assorted full boxes.
  • The box quantities listed are an average and box quantities do vary. When ordering boxes, please indicate the approximate footage needed. Studio will attempt to ship the closest quantities available.
  • We offer 5% freight allowance with a minimum charge of $10.00/package for shipping.

STRAIGHT CUT SERVICE

  • The straight cut service provides pre-inspected and pre-cut length.
  • Place your order based on the frame size.
  • Studio will calculate the straight cut size for you based on the size of the frame, plus a 1” allowance on each side.

CHOP SERVICE

  • All chops will have a standard 1/8-inch allowance (1/16 inch on each side) unless directed otherwise. Minimum chop size is 5- inches” per side, with a minimum charge based upon 3 ft.

CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Please let us know the size with the following measurement
  • Since fillet and floater require precision measurement, it is advisable to order straight cut then trim to your exact size at the time of fitting.

ROUTING SERVICE (Wedges)

  • Studio offers a routing service whereby your chops are routed, and specially designed plastic inserts are provided to join the frames. $5.00 per frame

  • The service of joining frames is available. Depending on the quantities ordered, joined frames require a minimum of 3 full working days for shipment.

BACK ORDERS

In the event that an item is out of stock at your local warehouse, we will give you the option to ship the products from the nearest alternative Distribution Center with appropriate shipping charges. If the product is not available nationwide, then the product will be placed on BACK ORDER. Once the product is available, you will be notified, and shipment arrangements will be made at that time.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

NOTE: All length moulding shipments over 8 ft may have accessorial fees from the LTL freight companies added to the freight shipment costs. These fees are not additional fees from Studio Moulding, and we cannot offer credits on these charges.

Studio Moulding will not “drop ship” to a third party.

STRAIGHT CUT / CHOP / JOIN ORDERS

  • A $10.00/package FedEx Ground delivery charge (Continental U.S. only) on orders of $125 or more,
  • does NOT include Expedited service, oversize charges, extra handling charges, COD charges, or inside
  • delivery charges.
  • Outside of the Continental U.S., an order of $125.00 or more will receive a 10% freight allowance with a minimum charge of $10.00/package.
  • FedEx / UPS charges an additional handling fee of $18.00 on packages greater than 4 ft.

NOTE: Straight Cut, Chop, and Join orders combined with any length order will be treated as length orders and will receive a 5% freight allowance with a minimum charge of $10.00/package.

LENGTH ORDERS

  • Orders with invoice amounts greater than $125.00 will receive a 5% freight allowance with a minimum charge of $10.00/package. Freight allowance does not include inside delivery charges (i.e., when the driver carries the freight into your facility). Closeout and discontinued items will not receive a freight allowance.
  • We charge $10.00/package UPS Ground for orders greater than $125 when cut below 4 ft in length.
  • FedEx / UPS charges an additional handling fee of $18.00 on packages greater than 4 ft.

WILL CALL

Studio requires a minimum of 3 hours on will call orders. If you plan to pick up merchandise at one of our distribution centers, please let us know three hours before your arrival time to avoid waiting. Pick-up of large or special orders should be scheduled at the time the order is placed. When making payments for pick-up orders only Checks or Credit Cards will be accepted. Please ask for the receipt/invoice with all of your orders.

RETURN POLICIES

UPON RECEIPTS OF GOODS

  • Inspect contents immediately. Notify Studio Moulding within 5 days of receipt with any errors or damages. Studio will replace the product and issue Call Tags to pick up and return the moulding to the issuing distribution center. Our liability is limited to the repair by us or replacement of any unsatisfactory goods.
  • A replacement product will be invoiced, and credit will be issued once the returned product is received at the distribution center. The original invoice must be paid in full.
  • All replacements and returns must be made within 30 days of receipt of merchandise.
  • If any length moulding has defects DO NOT cut the moulding. Return the full stick for replacement. Studio is only responsible for crediting the defective goods. Any lengths that have been cut or altered cannot be returned for credit.
  • Chops, Straight Cuts, and Joined frames with evidence that they have been joined or fitted will not be credited.
  • Please inspect and verify all chops, straight cuts and join products received for flaws, accuracy of dimensions and correct item number. Call Studio if there are any problems and we will replace the product.
  • We request that ALL returned merchandise be adequately packed so that they will not be further damaged on their return trip. NO returns will be accepted that have been improperly packaged.
  • Studio Moulding must authorize ALL returns, please call Customer Service (1-800-262-4174) option # 2 and Studio will authorize a freight pick-up or Call Tag Request.

DAMAGED SHIPMENT BY CARRIER

If your shipment arrives and the packaging has obvious damage:

  • Refuse delivery and notify Studio immediately. We will replace the products.
  • Accept delivery but note on the Bill of Lading that the box is damaged. Keep box for inspection. Upon inspection if you find that some of the goods were damaged notify Studio and we will arrange for pick up and credit. We will require a copy of the delivery receipt for us to place a “damaged goods” claims from the freight carrier.

CANCELLATION OF ORDERS

  • Length orders: Studio Moulding will charge 25% restocking fee on returned merchandise. The customer is responsible for any freight charges of returned products.
  • Straight cuts, Chops, and Join orders are final.
  • All purchases of special-sale merchandise, closeouts, or discontinued mouldings are final.
